What Suno V6 can do
V6 is the current default generation model; V5.5 and every earlier generation model have been retired. All of these capabilities live behind the same API key.
Lyrics and timeline lyrics
Generate lyrics from a theme, or fetch word-level timestamps for karaoke-style synced display without manual alignment.
Stems and studio editing
Split vocals from the backing track, add instruments, replace a section, extend, crop, change speed, fade and reverse — all over HTTP.
Instrumental mode
Set instrumental to true for vocal-free output: ideal for video beds, store ambience and game loops.
Sound effects and samples
Beyond full songs you can generate one-shot effects and loop samples with a chosen BPM and key.
Lossless export
Download MP3 for editing software or WAV for further production. Downloads are unlimited and never cost extra.

What is Suno-API?
Suno-API is a third-party platform that exposes the Suno V6 generation engine through an HTTP API and an online studio. It is not affiliated with Suno, Inc.
How much does a generation cost?
0.6 CNY per run, which returns two complete tracks — about 0.3 CNY per song. There is no subscription and no card on file; failed generations are refunded automatically.
Do I need a phone number to sign up?
No. An email address is enough to register and create an API key.
Which models are available?
suno-v6 (default), suno-v6-wild and suno-v6-mini. Models from suno-v2 to suno-v5-5 are retired and cannot be used for new requests.
Can I generate instrumental music without vocals?
Yes. Set instrumental to true and the output has no vocals — useful for video beds, podcasts and store ambience.
Are downloads metered?
No. MP3 and WAV downloads are unlimited and do not consume balance. Assets are served directly from object storage, so you can re-download an older song at any time.
Can I use the output commercially?
Commercial use depends on your licence terms. Review the licensing position for your own use case before publishing commercially.
Is there a Chinese version of the docs?
Yes — the full documentation is maintained in Chinese at /docs/, and the console UI is Chinese. The API itself is language-agnostic.
